BOGOTA, Colombia
At least 17 people were killed and five others injured in a landslide in Colombia on Monday, emergency officials said.
The landslide occurred in Rosas, a municipality in the southwestern Cauca province, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) said in a statement.
Colombia’s varied and mountainous geography is no stranger to landslides and other natural disasters.
