Multiple gunshots were fired at the US Consulate in Toronto, Canada, law enforcement said Tuesday.
Toronto police, in a social media post, said there was a "firearm discharge" at the diplomatic mission around 5.29 am local time but said there were no injuries. Police are on the scene investigating, but no suspect has been identified yet.
"Evidence of a firearm discharge has been located," Toronto Police said on US social media company X.
Part of University Ave. in front of the consulate remains closed as the investigation continues.
The shooting came just three days after a bomb exploded at the US Embassy in Oslo, Norway, in what local authorities believe may have been a terror-related attack.
