At least 10 people were injured when a taxicab drove into a break area used by cabdrivers at Logan Airport in East Boston on Monday, police said.
According to an official news blog of the Massachusetts State Police, it does not appear the driver hit the people intentionally.
“Ten people suffered injuries of varying severity as a result of this crash and have been transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, and other area hospitals.
“The cause of the crash remains under investigation. At this preliminary point in the investigation, there is no information that suggests the crash was intentional,” the blog post said.
Police added they were questioning the driver and seized his cab for further investigation.
The driver, a 56-year-old Cambridge man, told authorities on the scene that he accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, according to BostonGlobe.
The incident occurred at Porter Street and Tomahawk Drive, near the Logan taxi pool, State Police tweeted earlier.
