At least four workers are feared trapped in a coalmine explosion in China on Thursday.
The pre-dawn incident occurred in the northern Shanxi province of the country at 3.51 a.m. local time (1951GMT), Xinhua News reported.
Local authorities have launched an emergency operation with eight people rescued.
Initial findings have revealed the blast was caused by a coal and gas explosion when the mine workers were digging an underground tunnel for a colliery company.
