ANKARA
The International Energy and Environment Fair and Conference will present its energy awards at a ceremony in Ankara Monday.
The awards are sponsored by The Anadolu Agency.
The awards will be given in wind, hydroelectricity, geothermal, biomass, waste and solar power fields in the “Renewable Energy Power Generation” category. Natural gas, coal and residual heat projects will compete in the “Thermal Power Generation” category.
The jury will also honor power plants and energy efficienct projects at the event in the JW Marriott Hotel.
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz, academic and non-governmental organization representatives and professionals from the energy sector are expected to attend the ceremony.
This year awards will be the fourth such ceremony organized by the conference.
The energy conference was held at the Istanbul Expo Center between April 24 and 26, 2014.
