Business confidence edged up slightly in July, a report from the Turkish Statistical Institute revealed Monday.
The real sector confidence index (RSCI), which is closely linked to corporate spending, correlated with employment, consumption and investment, rose 0.5 points in July from the previous month to 105.4 points.
Sub-indices of composite reading, indexes for general course of business, current stock of finished products, fixed investment expenditures for the next 12 months, total production orders in the last three months and current total orders contributed positively to main index.
However, indices for production orders for the next three months, total employment for the next three months and export orders for the next 3 months pulled down the improvement seen in main reading.
The RSCI index indicates optimistic outlook for values over 100 and pessimistic sentiment for value below this level.
