Turkey's Gross Domestic Product increased by 2.1 percent in the second quarter of the year, the country's statistical authority has said, below analysts' estimates of 2.8 percent.
Turkstat said in a report released on its website on Wednesday: “Gross domestic product increased by 2.1 percent in the second quarter of 2014 and reached 30.8 million Turkish lira.”
Economists participating in an Anadolu Agency (AA) finance survey recently estimated second quarter growth in Turkey would reach 2.8 percent.
