Turkish stocks end Tuesday with gain

ANKARA

Turkey's benchmark stock index went up 2.13% to close Tuesday at 94,218.70 points.

After starting the day at 92,309.71 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 1,968.9 points from 92,249.80 points at Monday's close.

One ounce of gold sold for $1,349.90 at the daily close in Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, versus $1,336.30 at Monday's close.

The price of Brent oil was $62.32 per barrel as of 6.00 p.m. local time (1300GMT) on Tuesday -- with a day range of $60.26 to $62.38.
