Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 14,252.38 points, up 0.35% from the previous close.
Starting the third trading day of the week at 14,236.21 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 50.14 points from the previous close.
The index’s intraday low stood at 14,181.58, while the daily high reached 14,314.11.
Total market value of the BIST 100 was around 13.9 trillion Turkish liras ($311.4 billion), with daily trading volume of 172.5 billion Turkish liras ($3.85 billion).
During the session, 68 stocks on the index rose while 30 declined compared with the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold stood at $4,807.60, while Brent crude oil futures traded at around $95.33 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 44.7490, the euro/lira rate was 52.8585, and the British pound traded at 60.7880 liras.
