Climate neutrality is an major factor for most young Bulgarian job seekers, local media reported on Tuesday.
Citing the latest climate survey by the European Investment Bank (EIB), state-run news agency BTA pointed out that 83% of Bulgarians in their twenties say the climate impact of potential employers was an important factor when job hunting.
For 31% of respondents, climate impact is the highest priority, according to the report, which added that 56% of Bulgarians are convinced that their personal behavior could have an impact on efforts to address the climate emergency.
Moreover, 69% of Bulgarians favor stricter government measures to change people's behavior to deal with climate change.
As to the matter of sustainable food, 77% of respondents support universal climate footprint labels, while 71% say they would be willing to pay slightly more for locally produced and more sustainable food.
