Belgian police arrested at least two suspects in nine raids across Brussels Thursday in connection with last Friday’s attacks in Paris, local media reports said.
Public broadcaster RTBF reported that two people were arrested in the raids carried out in the districts of Molenbeek, Jette and Uccle on Thursday.
Molenbeek has been the focus of recent anti-terrorist operations. Seven people were arrested in the district on Sunday, five of whom were released.
Belgium has the highest number of foreign fighters per capita in Europe, according to a UN report issued a year ago.
