Western Europe recorded its highest average temperature on record for June–July, at 21.62°C. July 2026 was also the third-warmest July on record for the region. Extremely hot and dry conditions in Western Europe led to widespread wildfires across the continent, particularly in Spain and France.Yasin Demirci
