Two drones were intercepted and destroyed early Friday in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Kharj Governorate, the country’s Defense Ministry said on US social media company X.
Earlier, the ministry announced that its forces had intercepted four drones in the kingdom’s eastern and central regions, raising the total number to 42.
The developments came amid US and Israeli attacks on Iran launched on Feb. 28 that have killed around 1,300 people, including several top officials.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets.
