Four people suffered minor injuries on Tuesday after debris from an aerial interception sparked a fire at an abandoned house in Dubai, authorities said.
Dubai’s media office said the incident occurred in the Al Bada’a area after debris fell on the house.
The injuries were sustained by people who were near the house at the time, it added.
Late Monday, an Iranian drone struck an administrative building belonging to Thuraya Telecommunications in the UAE emirate of Sharjah, with no casualties reported, the Sharjah Government Media Bureau said on US social media company X.
In a separate statement, the UAE Defense Ministry said the country’s air defenses were responding to missile and drone attacks launched from Iran.
Regional escalations continued to rage since Israel and the US have launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, killing so far over 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
