The United Arab Emirates said Thursday that it has suspended operations at its Habshan gas facility as authorities respond to falling debris from intercepted missiles.
Authorities in Abu Dhabi said they intercepted missiles targeting the Habshan facility and the Bab oil field.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office said no injuries were reported following the incidents.
It urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and avoid spreading rumors or unverified reports.
In a separate statement, the Foreign Ministry condemned what it described as Iranian attacks.
The ministry said the incidents represent a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law, warning that targeting energy infrastructure poses a direct threat to regional stability and global energy security.
It added that the UAE reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and national security.
Regional escalations in the Middle East have intensified since Israel and the US launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, killing around 1,300 people so far, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries that are home to US military assets.
