A total of 58 people were killed in several cities of Syria on Wednesday during operations staged by forces loyal to the Syrian regime, activists said.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said that Assad forces killed 22 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 10 in Aleppo, 9 in Hama, 7 in Dera'a, 5 in Homs, two each in Raqqah and Quneitra and one in Idlib in air and land offensives.
Syrian Local Coordination Committee (LCC) stated, a car bomb was set off near al-Mustafa Mosque in the industrial zone of Damascus and moreover, three Scud missiles were launched from Quteifa Brigade 155 towards the north of the country.
SANA, Syrian national news agency, announced that regime forces made major gains against opposition fighters in operations across the country.
