A total of 83 people were killed in several cities of Syria during operations staged by forces of the regime.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, stated that Assad forces killed 29 in Homs, 25 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 16 in Aleppo, 4 in Deir al-Zor, 3 in Dera'a, two each in Idlib and Quneitra and one each in Latakia and el-Haseqqeh during air and land operations.
Sources said fierce clashes continue between Free Syrian Army forces and Assad's army across Syria.
SANA, Syrian national news agency, announced that regime forces made major gains against opposition in operations across the country.
