Former Iraqi Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi described the recent public uprisings in Iraq as the "Iraqi Spring".
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA) in Qatar's capital of Doha, al-Hashimi stated that "all Iraqis, regardless of roots and inclination, had to make efforts to realize victory and say 'enough' to brutality."
Al-Hashimi's remarks came after protests were held in different corners of Iraq against the Iraqi government in Baghdad on Friday.
The scope of public uprisings in Iraq will grow, al-Hashimi noted.
On Turkey's policy regarding Iraq, al-Hashimi said the Turkish policy was brave and daring.
"My brother, the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made bold remarks on Iraq. I believe that Turkey would never leave Iraq alone," al-Hashimi also said.
