The 2021-22 UEFA Champions League quarterfinals draw will be held on Friday in Switzerland's Nyon.
Atletico Madrid (Spain), Bayern Munich (Germany), Benfica (Portugal), Chelsea (England), Liverpool (England), Manchester City (England), Real Madrid (Spain), and Villarreal (Spain) are involved in the quarterfinals draw.
Chelsea are the reigning winners.
There will be no seeding or country restrictions in the draw. So, any team can pair with any other in the last eight.
Meanwhile, as one of the quarterfinalists, Villarreal are now on unfamiliar ground.
The Yellow Submarine, who won the second tier UEFA Europa League last season, did their Champions League best in 2006 when they were eliminated by Arsenal in the semifinals.
Villarreal on Wednesday stunned Juventus 3-0 in a Round of 16 second leg game at Turin's Juventus Stadium to march to the last eight.
The Spanish club won 4-1 on aggregate.
The Champions League quarterfinals will have first and second legs and will be played on April 5-6 and April 12-13.
The 2022 final will be held at the Stade de France in Paris on May 28.
