ANKARA (AA) - LeBron James surpassed Larry Bird and Gary Payton to move into 29th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list, but the Heat came up short in overtime period to extend their winning streak to seven in Sacramento, 108-103.
Without Dwayne Wade, Ray Allen and Chris Andersen, defending champion failed to win against Sacramento who were led by newly acquired Rudy Gay's 26 points, DeMarcus Cousins' 27 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Isiah Thomas' 22 points and 11 assists.
LeBron James scored a game-high 33 points (now 21,819 total), pulled down 8 rebounds and dished out 8 assists for Miami in the overtime loss, while Mario Chalmers chipped in 11 points and made 10 assists for a double-double. The loss marked the seventh of the season for Miami, while Sacramento got their ninth victory.
Utah Jazz, who have the worst record in Western Conference (9-23), snapped their four-game home losing streak with a 105-103 victory over Los Angeles Lakers in Salt Lake City. Gordon Hayward led the way for the Jazz while Derrick Favors scored 18 points and got 14 rebounds along with the game-winning dunk with 2.1 seconds left. Turkish center Enes Kanter played 15 minutes and posted 8 points. The injury-depleted Los Angeles Lakers now lost their fourth straight. Pau Gasol didn't play with upper respiratory infection as Chris Kaman posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Nick Young energized the Lakers off the bench with 21 points but it was not enough for the win.

Oklahoma City Thunder defeated Charlotte Bobcats without their All-Star guard Russell Westbrook who was sidelined after knee surgery, 89-85. Kevin Durant scored a game-high 34 points, grabbed a game-best 12 rebounds. Oklahoma won their ninth game in ten games with the victory.
Milwaukee Bucks, who have the worst record in Eastern Conference, lost to Brooklyn Nets 104-93. Bucks got their 23rd loss of the season while Nets got their fourth straight win. Turkish forward Ersan Ilyasova started for the Bucks and finished with 6 points and 5 rebounds. Brooklyn Nets got their tenth victory with the win.
Golden State Warriors beat Phoenix Suns 115-86 behind Stephen Curry's monster triple-double with 14 points, 16 assists, 13 rebounds. Klay Thompson chipped in 21 points as Golden State won their fourth in a row.
