NBA: Raptors set record with last-gasp win over Pacers

The Toronto Raptors set a new franchise record with a 12th consecutive win on Wednesday night.

Serge Ibaka produced a season-high 30 points as the Raptors beat the Indiana Pacers 119-118 in a hard-fought game at the Scotiabank Arena.

Ibaka’s tally included a match-winning three-pointer in the dying seconds of the game.

Kyle Lowry was also influential for the Canadian side with 32 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds, as was Pascal Siakam with 25 points and 9 rebounds.

For the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon stood out with 24 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

The victory marked a new high for the Raptors as they are now unbeaten in 12 straight games -- the longest winning run in their history -- and sit second in the East Conference standings.

The Pacers are placed fifth with 31 wins and 20 losses.

Jokic fires depleted Denver to Utah victory

The Denver Nuggets defied the odds for a remarkable 98-95 win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.

Serbian Nikola Jokic led from the front to guide a depleted Nuggets team to victory at Utah’s home, the Vivint Smart Home Arena.

The Nuggets were without seven players -- four out with injuries and three more due to pending trades -- but Jokic made sure the shortage was not felt.

He was unstoppable on the night and posted a triple-double with 30 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Serb was ably assisted by Jamal Murray, who notched up 31 points with 4 assists.

For the Jazz, Mike Conley scored 21 points and picked up 8 rebounds.

The Nuggets are currently placed third in the Western Conference standings with a 36-16 win and loss record this season.

Utah have 32 wins and 18 losses and are currently fifth in the standings.
