Ten people were killed in a blast near Syria's Esselame border crossing, across from the southern Turkish province of Kilis on Thursday.
Initial reports said that 10 people were killed and many were injured by a car bomb. Ambulances took those injured to a nearby hospital in Kilis.
Turkey is hosting more than 600,000 refugees from Syria's civil war and has kept its border open throughout the conflict.
Over 100,000 people have been killed, 3.5 million internally displaced, and 2.5 million have sought refuge in neighboring countries since the conflict erupted in March 2011, according to the United Nations.
