SIRNAK, Turkey
Two Turkish soldiers were martyred on Friday in an operation conducted by the security forces in southeastern Sirnak province of Turkey, a security source has said.
According to the security source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to media, four other soldiers were wounded during an operation against the terrorist organization PKK at the Gabar mountain.
The wounded soldiers were taken to a hospital in Siirt province, the source said.
The operation to capture the traitors is still underway, the source added.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its armed campaign in July 2015 and since then has been responsible for the deaths of around 1,100 security personnel and civilians, including women and children.
