Anadolu Agency (AA) has signed its first subscription agreement with leading Azerbaijani channel Region TV in the Caucasus.
Aiming to increase its role in the Caucasus, central Asia and Russian-speaking countries, AA has increased the number of its correspondents as well as production of photograph and video.
AA will have more influence in the region as Region TV begins to use its news services by the year 2014 thanks to the agreement signed in Baku.
Meanwhile, the newspapers using AA services in Azerbaijan praise the agency's role and efficieny in the Caucasus. Editor-in-chief of "Yeni Musavat," among the most popular newspapers in Azerbaijan, Rauf Arifoglu said they are pleased to cooperate with AA.
"I appreciate AA and its work. We are happy about the cooperation between AA and Azerbaijan and we hope it will be long-lasting," Arifoglu said.
Likewise, chief editor of "People Front" Elcin Mirzebeyli stated, "the news produced by AA, especially about Turkic world, is being very well welcomed in the region."
In the framework of "the centennial vision", AA plans to broadcast in 11 languages and be among the world’s top five agencies. AA already broadcasts in English, Arabic, Bosnian, Russian and Kurdish in addition to Turkish.
