BRUSSELS
Turkey's permanent representative to EU Selim Yenel said that Anadolu Agency had an important role to eliminate the prejudices and misinformation about Turkey in the EU.
Celebrating the 93rd foundation anniversary of AA on Saturday, Yenel said that it was a difficult thing to exist 93 years for an institution.
Noting that AA could be considered as a mirror reflecting Turkey, Yenel said that development of Turkey in the past 10-15 years in every area reflected to AA too.
We have always trusted in AA, he added.
Morocco's communications minister also released message
Morocco's Minister of Communications and Government Spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi also congratulated Anadolu Agency (AA) for its 93rd anniversary.
Speaking to AA, Khalefi said, "The AA is Turkey's door which opens up to the Arab world."
He underlined that the AA achieved successful results in the Arab world and other regions and by opening an office in Morocco.
Khalfi wished the relations between the two countries would get stronger.
Turkey's ambassadors also celebrate 93rd anniversary of Anadolu Agency
Moreover, Turkey's ambassadors on duty abroad celebrated the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of AA.
Turkey's Ambassador in Belgrade Mehmet Kemal Bozay said he believed that the AA would become one of the top five agencies in the world and added, this target would be fulfilled with its Balkans reputation.
Bozay added the AA had a big responsibility in order to reflect the truth to the public and said, within the scope of that responsibility, the agency was providing public with news reports on time from every corner of the world.
Turkey's Ambassador to US Namik Tan stated, "AA marks down speedy improvements in any field and within the scope of its centennial vision, it gained strength in parallel with Turkey. I follow its reforms."
Tan noted, "It makes us proud to see that Anadolu Agency is term president of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA)."
