Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Cemil Cicek said Turkey had fulfilled all its missions within the NATO and would continue to do so with the same determination for regional and global peace.
Releasing a statement on the occasion of the 61th anniversary of Turkey's NATO membership, Cicek said NATO members provided critical contribution for the rule of peace and democracy in a wide range from the US to Balkans, during and after the Cold War.
He said NATO members currently serve for a secure and stabile environment to be established in Afghanistan, Caucasia and the Middle East and added Turkey's contribution could not be put aside.
