Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said that "while Turkey is proud with its past, the country had political and economic problems."
Addressing the students of Zenica University in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday, Bulent Arinc underlined that "since the Justice and Development (AK) Party came to power in 2002, Turkey began having both political stability and economic development."
"As a result, Turkey began pursuing an active foreign policy," Arinc indicated.
"Turkey has become a country that the international community listens to. Our aim is to have Turkey among the top 10 developed countries in 2023 (when Turkey will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the foundation of its republic)," Arinc stressed.
Touching on Bosnia-Herzegovina's integration with international organizations, Bulent Arinc noted that Turkey supported Bosnia-Herzegovina's membership in the EU and NATO.
Answering questions of Bosnian students at the Zenica University, Bulent Arinc said that those Bosnian students learning Turkish would be able to work at important posts in Turkey and out of Turkey.
"The Director General of the Anadolu Agency (AA), Kemal Ozturk is here with us today. Mr. Ozturk says that the AA was looking forward to employ Bosnian students who speak Turkish," Arinc indicated.
Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, following his speech, visited the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at the Zenica University.
Arinc spoke with students learning Turkish and asked them why they wanted to learn Turkish.
Most students replied that they were learning Turkish as they loved the language and Turkey.
