A gunman, who robbed an Istanbul bank Thursday, stealing over $55,000, has been caught, police said.
In a bank in Sisli district at around 4 pm local time (1300 GMT), an individual carrying a blank cartridge gun proceeded to threathen a security guard, according to police.
He stole around 87,000 Turkish liras, $15,000 and 7,000 euros in cash and escaped.
Police caught the robber in a taxi, and retrieved the money, the security guard's gun and his gun.
