Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Turkey would always stand by Libya and its people.
Davutoglu and Mohamed Yousef el-Magariaf, President of the General National Congress of Libya, attended a panel titled "New Region, New Relations: Turkey and Libya" in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
Delivering a speech in the panel, Davutoglu said that one of best transitions within the scope of Arab Spring took place in Libya, stating that a successful and honest national council has been formed in Libya.
"We are hopeful about the future of Libya," he said.
Economies of Turkey and Libya were completing each other, he said.
Davutoglu said that they were ready to share Turkey's experiences on economy with Libya.
In the coming period, Turkish-Libyan relations would be improved further, and the two countries would make joint initiatives in regard to regional and international policies, he said.
El-Magariaf said that he would like to thank Turkey for its role in the revolution process in his country.
Before Arab Spring, a democratic change and development took place in Turkey and this change served as a model for Arab countries, he said.
