ISTANBUL (AA) - September 18, 2012 - Shekih Raed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, has assessed the latest developments on Syria and Israel to Anadolu Agency (AA).
Speaking to AA correspondent on Tuesday, Salah stated that he was in Turkey to narrate the attacks to the mosques and graves by Israel, particularly Al-Masjid Al-Aksa's difficult situation.
Stating that Israel was desecrating Muslims' sacred values, Salah thanked AA for its responsible broadcasting over the wine and beer festival attempted to be held in the Be'er Sheva's Mosque.
"Israel administration is using Be'er Sheva's Mosque as a museum. There are several historical artifacts including pagan sculptures in the mosque which is a disrespect to Muslims' holy values. The only solution to rescue the mosque from this situation is to open it to prayers," Salah said.
Commenting on Syria crisis, Salah stated that Syrians should be able to choose their leaders.
"Syrian regime has lost its validity in its territory as well as in Arab world. It is time for Syrian people to be free and choose their leaders," said Salah.
