KAHRAMANMARAS
There are five Turkish descent troops in German Patriot team deployed in Turkey's southern province Kahramanmaras.
Born and bred in Germany, Turkish origin troops came to Turkey for mission this time, instead of summer holidays.
Petty officers Eda and Ismail told AA correspondent that they were proud to serve in their hometown. Eda's family moved to Germany 33 years ago and Ismail's family moved 40 years ago. They both consider this mission special and proud to be in Turkey.
German senior sergeant Marcel said Turkish origin troops helped them a lot on communication related issues when they first came to Turkey and he was happy to work with them.
