BERLIN (AA) - A new accreditation system was set for the trial of the German "National Socialist Underground" (NSU) cell, which murdered 10 people, including 8 Turkish citizens.
Under the new system, the names of the journalists, who would cover the trial on May 6, will be determined by a draw on April 29.
Munich Court stated that the old accreditation system was cancelled, and that the applications for the new accreditation system would be received as of 1:00 p.m. Turkish local time on Friday and end on Tuesday.
New accreditations will be made in three groups. There will be a quota of five for German and foreign news agencies in the first group, while ten quota were reserved for foreign press and the agencies broadcasting in German language in foreign countries in the second group. Four of the ten quota in the second group were reserved for Turkish press. The third group will have 35 quota for the press broadcasting in German language in Germany.
