BERLIN (AA) - The trial of the German "National Socialist Underground" (NSU) cell, which murdered 10 people, including 8 Turkish citizens, has been postponed to May 6 by a Munich Court on Monday.
In a statement released, the Munich Court said that the trial was scheduled to begin on Wednesday but that it was postponed to May 6.
"A decision to postpone the trial was made on Monday after the German Constitutional Court's decision of April 12 which made a new accreditation necessary for journalists. As the preparation for journalists could not be ready by April 17, the NSU trial was postponed to May 6," the Munich Court stated.
The German Constitutional Court had ruled that the Munich Court's accreditation was not appropriate as it excluded foreign journalists and demanded that permission be issued to at least three Turkish and Greek media organizations to cover the trial.
