Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland is visiting European countries including Turkey.
According to a statement released by the State Department, Nuland “will attend the Visegrad Group Ministerial where she will have a range of bilateral and multilateral meetings with the regional foreign ministers and senior European officials” on October 31 in Hungary. She will also meet with Hungarian Foreign Minister Janos Martonyi, and participate in a roundtable discussion with civil society members.
Between October 31-November 3 Nuland will be in Istanbul and Adana where she will meet with senior Turkish officials to discuss “bilateral relations and other regional issues”, according to the statement.
Following her time in Turkey, the Assistant Secretary will travel to Kyiv November 3-4 to meet with senior Ukranian officials and parliamentarians.
