SIRNAK, Turkey
PKK terrorists have reportedly killed a village guard's 16 year-old son in the southeastern Turkish province of Sirnak.
A clash erupted Thursday between PKK terrorists and village guards after the former opened fire, according to one of the guards Mehmet Tatar.
His son, Bayram Tatar, was initially wounded by the terrorists and eventually succumbed to his injuries on Thursday in Sirnak State Hospital.
Mehmet Tatar told Anadolu Agency that his son had left home to gather wood.
The PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU – resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015.
Since then, over 350 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
