KILIS, Turkey
Three rockets fired across the border from Syria injured three people on Tuesday in Turkey’s southeastern border province of Kilis.
Reporting from the scene, an Anadolu Agency correspondent said that the rockets hit the roof of a house in the Helvacioglu neighborhood, leading to a fire. Five minutes later another rocket hit a bathroom in a mosque, and the third fell into an empty field in a cemetery.
Three people suffered mild injuries from the rockets, according to preliminary reports. Police also strengthened security measures in the region.
On Monday, four rockets fired across the border from Syria killed five people and injured six in the border province.
