ISTANBUL
A child was hurt when two stun grenades exploded in front of Istanbul's Bayrampasa district police department on Saturday night, according to security force sources.
A 12-year-old Syrian child was injured in the leg during the blasts which occurred on Esenler Street. The child was taken to Bayrampasa State Hospital by police; the injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police said that the stun grenades exploded 50 meters from the police department.
Following the incident, an extensive investigation was launched.
