Speaking at the press conference, President Abdullah Gul stressed that "when we watch what is happening in Syria we feel as if our own home is getting burned and damaged and as if our own humans were dying."
We are deeply concerned with the Syrian issue, Gul stated.
"As Egypt, Iran and Turkey, we came together for the Syrian issue. We began certain works so that Syria will not destroy itself. Our foreign ministers are discussing the details. I do hope that we can contribute to the end of the bad situation in Syria," Gul stressed.
"As a flagship of the Arabic world, Egpyt's realization of democracy with all traditions and institutions will be highly meaningful for not only Egypt but the whole Arabic and Islamic world. I believe that Egypt will be very successful in this regard," Gul said.
Touching on Turkey's trade volume with Egypt, President Gul emphasized that their aim was to reach a trade volume of 10 billion USD with Egypt in the shortest time possible.

Morsi also mentioned that their perception of regional and international problems were same as Turkey's.

"We are working with Turkey to end the bloodshed in Syria," Morsi noted.
"The most important issue on Syria has to do with stopping the bloodshed immediately. This is crucial for us and we hope to be successful in that regard," Morsi stressed.
Touching on Turkish-Egyptian business ties, President Morsi underlined that Turkish businesspeople must take advantage of the opportunities that Egypt presents.
