Three rounds of exams for entrance into Turkish universities were completed on Sunday.
Mahmut Ozer, head of the organizing body Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (OSYM), said this exam, in logistic terms, was the largest they had conducted in a weekend.
“Both sessions were seamlessly completed at all our test centers. We are delighted to have successfully completed such an examination with all our stakeholders,” Ozer told Anadolu Agency.
“I wish the exam result is beneficial for all our students and their distinguished families,” Ozer added.
The exam consists of three rounds, including a Basic Proficiency Test (TYT), an Area Qualification Test (AYT), and a Foreign Language Test (YDT).
Ozer wished success to some 131,453 students who had applied for the final round YDT, which ended at 5.45 p.m. local time (1445GMT).
A total of 2,381,784 students applied to the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) that took place on Saturday and Sunday.
The results will be announced on July 31.
