Turkey's Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) is to supply Belize with medical devices for its pediatrics department.
Devices like intensive care beds, mechanic ventilators, invasive ventilators, defibrillators, nebulizers and EKGs are expected to reach Belize early February.
Serdar Cam, President of TIKA, said Wednesday that an agreement had been signed to supply the equipment at the request of Belizean NGO "Lifeline Foundation".
Belize's consular agent in Istanbul Mustafa Cikrikcioglu called the assistance "very well-timed".
"This is just the beginning a of a very strong and fruitful relationship between Belize and Turkey," said Kim Barrow, Belize's Global Ambassador for Special Olympics and Special Envoy for Children and Women.
