ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Friday, saying that Turkey welcomed a roadmap drawn up by the Malian parliament aimed at securing territorial integrity and national compromise through free and transparent elections.
The statement said the roadmap constituted an important step toward maintaining lasting and comprehensive peace in Mali in line with UN Security Council resolutions.
The statement said Turkey would continue to support efforts exerted by African Union and the ECOWAS to end the conflict in the country.
