Caglayan attended a meeting of the Middle East and North Africa Regional Commercial Counsellors in Ankara.
Turkey passed a test successfully during the global economic crisis, he said, adding that however the European economy went through serious problems during that period.
Regarding foreign trade figures made public by Turkish statistics authority on Friday, Caglayan said that exports reached 13.8 billion USD in November 2012 and it was a great achievement by Turkish business world.
The Middle East and North Africa region grew 5.3 percent this year and the region was expected to grow 3.6 percent in 2013, he said.
Caglayan said Libya and Iraq would become the countries that would grow the most in the region next year with 17 percent and 14.7 percent, respectively.
Turkey would always support the people in the region, he said.
The economy minister added that Turkey's exports to the Middle East and North Africa rose by 58 percent to 40.5 billion U.S. dollars in the first ten months of 2012 compared to the same period of last year.
