Representatives of private Turkish hospitals came together with local Swedish directors and representatives of health care organizations in the scope of improving services for undertaking the treatment of ill and elderly Swedish people.
Representatives of private hospitals of Health Works Council (SAIK) of Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and representatives of Turkish economy ministry received an introduction about the health systems in the Stockholm embassy of Turkey.
Professor Dr. Ibrahim Turan who worked in Sweden, Monaco and Istanbul informed attendees about the Swedish health system and industry.
Dr Turan stated that some of the Swedish patients who cannot receive treatment in their country are being sent abroad and he said, "In this case, Turkey can receive patients from Sweden. If Turkey is stable regarding health services that it will be easier to take patients from Sweden to Turkey."
Representatives who came from Turkey to Stockholm and Goteborg will keep their negotiations until October 10.
