ANKARA
Turkish Parliament Speaker Binali Yildirim met with Maltese President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca in the capital Ankara on Thursday.
Yildirim and Preca held a closed-door meeting for almost an hour in the office of the first.
Following the meeting, Yildirim and Preca visited the sections of the Turkish parliament which had been bombed during the defeated coup of July 15, 2016.
Terrorist Organization (FETO) and its U.S.-based leader Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup, which martyred 251 people and injured nearly 2,200 others.
Meanwhile, Yildirim also received Anniken Huitfeldt, the chair of the Norwegian Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense.
