Turkish dailies covered on Monday Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's speech at "Respect to National Will" rally in Kazlicesme, Istanbul, the clashes between the Gezi Park protesters and the security forces in Istanbul and Ankara and Berkin Elvan, a teenager who was shot in his head with teargas capsule. Daily MILLIYET headlined "Menderes was kind but you hanged him", publishing that Erdogan addressed hundreds of thousands in Kazlicesme rally. "These plots target Turkey" was headlined by daily SABAH by saying that it was the biggest rally in the history of the Republic of Turkey and citing Erdogan as saying "We know very well who sent 30 thousand food boxes to Taksim, sheltered the terrorists in their hotels and the provocateurs of the social media." Daily HURRIYET titled "We will call them to account" and said that Erdogan addressed the hundreds of thousands in Kazlicesme and warned the Gezi protesters sternly. Daily AKSAM also headlined "Respect to National Will" by publishing that Erdogan, who targetted the demonstartions, ordered to clear out the Gezi Park by citing the prime minister as saying "Clearing Gezi Park is my duty as Prime Minister".

Almost all of the dailies also covered the clashes between the Gezi Park protesters and the security forces in Istanbul and Ankara. Daily VATAN titled "Gezi Park is clear but..." by adding that the Turkish police took the control of Gezi Park but the streets are still unrest. The protests are going on all around Turkey. Daily ZAMAN headlined "Gezi Park is cleared out but the demonstrators resist" by saying that police fired bursts of tear gas and water cannon on Sunday after a night of unrest to try to prevent demonstrators from regrouping and keep them away from Taksim Square. "Taksim is calm, the streets are tense" was titled by daily SABAH. It said that after the clearing out of Gezi Park, Taksim Square was closed to traffic and pedestrians.

Most of the dailies covered that Berkin Elvan, a teenager, was shot in his head with teargas capsule during the Gezi Park incident in Okmeydani, Istanbul. Daily HURRIYET titled "Young Berkin was shot in the head, too" by publishing that he was still in a critical condition. Daily VATAN headlined "Berkin struggles for his life" and added that Elvan was injured by teargas capsule that police shot at him at close range.
