Turkish scientist Kadir Bilisik has been presented with the International Peace Award for 2012.
Working at Erciyes University in Kayseri, head of the textile engineering department, Bilisik told AA correspondent that US-based United Cultural Convention (UCC) decorated him with the International Peace Award for his international studies on textile material science and technology.
He said four of his articles were among the most read and most cited articles.
Bilisik said his studies focus on 3 different types of fabrics and ballistic fabric drew attention internationally since steel vests were made of that fabric.
