No process that fails to protect the rights and interests of Turkish Cypriots can pave the way for a lasting solution on Cyprus, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday.
Erdogan made the remarks during a meeting in the Turkish capital Ankara with Tufan Erhurman, president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
The two leaders discussed relations between Türkiye and the TRNC as well as regional issues.
Erdogan reiterated Türkiye's steadfast support for the TRNC.
He also praised TRNC's representation in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which has been holding meetings this week in Ankara.
