Türkiye, Estonia discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation

Estonia and Türkiye discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen cooperation during a meeting between Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna and Türkiye's new ambassador to Estonia, Yonca Ozceri, Tsahkna said Tuesday.

"Against this backdrop, it was a pleasure to meet today with Türkiye’s new Ambassador to Estonia, Yonca Ozceri, to discuss how we can further strengthen the friendship and deepen cooperation between our countries," Tsahkna said on US social media platform X.

Tsahkna also said the Turkish Air Force is contributing to the defense of the Baltic states from Estonia's Amari Air Base.

Last week the two countries marked the 35th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations, he added.
