A MONUSCO Peacekeeping force was killed in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
According to an information released by UN, a military convoy in DRC was ambushed by a group.
A Pakistani Peacekeeping force lost his life and MONUSCO (United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo) launched an investigation regarding the issue.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon strongly condemned the attack and called on DRC government to "bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice".
Ban underscored that killing of peacekeepers was a war crime that fell under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, and he offered his sincerest condolences and sympathy to the family of the victim, and to the government of Pakistan.
