LONDON
British broadcasting company BBC's employees are on a one-day strike on Monday.
The biggest union at BBC, National Union of Journalists (NUJ), has said it called the strike after failing to reach an agreement with management over the redeployment of 30 staff members facing compulsory redundancy.
Delays have been happening in news broadcasting and BBC officials said they were disappointed with the strike.
BBC Turkish under World Service also announced the web site would not be updated on Monday.
The corporation is cutting about 2,000 jobs over five years as part of its "Delivering Quality First" programme.
